EU LOT 6 Framework Opportunities
ACP Fish Framework
Harewelle International is now registered to receive opportunities under the ACP Fish II programme run out of Brussels. As a result we have recently received a number of bids for the eastern and southern Africa covering MSC training, co-management, trade and fish stock assessments. We are expecting a considerable number over the next 12 months and would therefore be interested in hearing from consultants with experience in:
- Fishery policy, legislation and development of management plans at a regional and national level for both inshore and offshore fisheries
- MCS including formulation of regulatory frameworks, strengthening of national MCS and enforcement institutional capacity
- Studies, stock assessments and research activities
- Improving business support and private sector investment
- Increasing knowledge sharing
- Training and capacity building across all the areas listed above
Further information on the ACP Fish Programme can be found at (http://acpfish2-eu.org), however in summary its objective is to contribute to the sustainable and equitable management of fisheries in ACP regions, thus leading to poverty alleviation and improving food security in ACP States.
