Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project

Programme providing much needed improvements to sustainable water supplies and sanitation facilities for poor rural communities throughout PNG.  The project's main focus is on Community Development, principally, engendering community ownership and responsibility for maintenance of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS) schemes, as well as on the provision of training in health/hygiene, gender awareness, people and technical skills to support those schemes.  Harewelle is providing technical assistance to the programme in the form of three long-term and several short term consultants.  (2006 - 2008)
