PMTC Bangladesh Staff Profiles

Monjur Hossain (Managing Director - Bangladesh)
Monjur is responsible for the overall management of PMTC Bangladesh operations in South East Asia, liaising with the Bangladeshi Government, donors and NGO agencies to promote company activities and business development. As Managing Director, he is responsible for supervising the work of all consultants employed by PMTC and contributes to consultancy inputs where appropriate.

He has been involved in the development sector for over 10 years and is highly experienced in the application and monitoring of QMS and the entire Project Cycle Management process. Through his work with PMTC Bangladesh and Harewelle International, Monjur has worked with a wide-array of different donors including DFID, CARE, DANIDA and USAID.

He has extensive managerial experience in the tea industry having worked for 27 years as a manager in the National Tea Company Ltd, Bangladesh. A tea industry specialist, he has provided consultancy inputs on a wide range of Plantation Management and Development projects. He is also a leading Food Safety Management System Consultant in Bangladesh. 

Shahid Talukder (Key Associate and Non-Executive Director)
Shahid is a Non Executive Director of PMTC Bangladesh and has been an associate consultant with the company since 2003. He is a rural development and poverty alleviation expert, specialising in the management of livelihoods projects, trainer training, project design, gender analysis, and non-formal education and strategic planning. Prior to joining PMTC Bangladesh he was a Director of the NGO BRAC where he was responsible for training within the organisation. As a senior member of the BRAC management team he established an extensive network of donor contacts, including large bi-lateral and multi-lateral organisations. Shahid has extensive international donor experience, having worked with among others CIDA, FAO, and DIFD.

Salina Sultana (Project and Business Development Manager)
Salina has been involved with PMTC Bangladesh for over 10 years. She initially joined the organisation as the Accounts and Administration Manager and has subsequently moved on to be the Project and Business Development Manager. She is a very experience international development professional and has a Masters in Political Science from Rajendra University College. Prior to joining the company, Salina worked for the British High Commission and the BBC World Service.

Israt Shaila (Operations Manager)
Israt is the newest member of staff in the PMTC Bangladesh office, having joined the company at the end of 2008. She has an MBA from Dhaka University and is responsible for managing, maintaining and building relationships with clients and overseeing day to day operations of our programmes.  Prior to joining the company, she worked for BRAC in the Human Resource Division and for the Rahim Afrooz Group, where she was responsible for human resource management and development; institutional capacity building; organisational development and Business Development and Marketing.

A F M Kamrul Huda (Accounts and Administration Manager)
AF M Kamul Huda  is responsible for PMTC’s Accountants and Adminstration. He has a Masters degree in Commerce and an undergraduate degree in Accounting. Prior to joining the PMTC team he worked in the corporate sector, where he gained extensive experience in accounting, finance and administration.
