Harewelle wins DANIDA contract
Harewelle International has just won a contract with DANIDA to provide support in the formulation of the Business Climate Component of the Business Sector Programme Support II (BSPS II) in Kenya.
DANIDA have been supporting BSPS II since 2006 and have decided to provide funding for a second phase to be implemented during 2011 – 2015. The programme will focus on three core components:
- Increased competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium sized Enterprises
- Improved Business Climate
- Energy Efficiency
The objective of assignment is to prepare a Final Draft Component Description covering Component 2 – Improved Business Climate. This assignment will run in parallel with similar contracts for Components 1 and 3.
The assignment is being undertaken with one international supported by a local and will take place over the summer, predominantly based in Kenya. Activities that will be undertaken include extensive research, meetings with key stakeholders including the Royal Danish Embassy, the EU, UNDP, DFID as well as local stakeholders such as the Central Organisation of Trade Unions, the National and Social Council as well as BMOs.
