Framework Contract - Afghanistan

Harewelle has just been awarded a European Commission funded Framework Contract under Lot 6 – Environment, by the delegation in Kabul, to conduct a Mid Term Review of the “UNEP Capacity Building and Institutional Development Programme for Environmental Management in Afghanistan – Phase III”.

The programme builds on previous successes by providing assistance to environmental authorities to implement the environmental management framework across the country, and to manage the process of environmental restoration and community-based natural resource management. Another objective of the programme is to support the strengthening of the nascent provincial offices of the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA).

The assignment will be carried out in May and June 2010 in Kabul, Bamiyan and Badakhshan regions.
