Liana Vetch (Business Development Advisor - UK)
Liana joined Harewelle in 2010 as a Business Development advisor within the Environment team, based in our UK office. Liana comes from Crown Agents and has a strong background working in the environment field, undertaking research on donor activities. Some of her most recent work involved being part of the Zimbabwe Action Group and the Environmental Working Group.
Prior to joining Crown Agents, Liana was an Intern with the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) in Kenya providing support to The Division of Environmental Law and Conventions, including assisting with the Africa Regional Climate Conference. Liana has also worked with UNEP on a project to ascertain “user needs related to African freshwater biodiversity” and spent time with the Environmental Investigation Agency in both London and Washington, supporting various conservation campaigns.
Liana has a BSc in Environmental Management as well as a MA in Environment and Development from Kings College London. Her thesis focused on assessing “Kenya’s current use of the Clean Development Mechanism and its potential use as a livelihood adaptation tool’’. Liana has travelled extensively, especially in Eastern Africa having spent much of her life based in Kenya.
