Mike Woolford (Managing Director - UK)
Mike Woolford is the Managing Director of Harewelle, responsible for the overall management of the Group, leading a multinational team of staff and consultants. He is an experienced Project Manager and Management Development consultant with over 25 years experience working in development aid. Mike has extensive experience in managing and coordinating project work programmes aimed at building management capacity at senior level within government institutions and in particular the change management aspects of institutional strengthening and development.
Mike is currently the Programme Director of two DFID-funded projects in Lesotho: The Poverty Reduction Strategy Priority Support Programme and the Public Financial Management Programme. He is the Contract Manager responsible for a framework contract to support the Lesotho Revenue Authority and heads the business development team in the Harewelle Head Office.
Mike is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and also a qualified trainer experienced in facilitation and coaching at senior levels and planning and conducting workshops. He has project based experience in Lesotho, Zambia, Uganda and Bangladesh with other work experience in Sudan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Pakistan, Cambodia and Papua New Guinea.
